SUCKER GARDEN,, St. Maarten (Saturday, August 18, 2012) During Wednesday s information session organized by the Upper Princes Quarter Community Council and Bureau Ombudsman held at the Melford Hazel Sports facility, Ombudsman, Dr. Nilda Arduin explained the process of someone submitting documents to the bureau which she said takes too much time.
“We have held sessions with Departments to evaluate how this past year went”. “The ones that filed complaints between January and June last year, took quite some time”, Meanwhile, the President of the upper princess Quarter Community Council, Cleophas Richardson explained how the Community council came about helping to organize the session. “We were contacted by the ombudsman department several weeks ago to help assist them in organizing a meeting”. “They wanted to go to every community to discuss and give the community information on what the Ombudsman Is all about”. “We got the community out for them for their presentation”.
