GREAT BAY, St. Maarten (Monday, July 23, 2012) Member of Parliament of the DP Faction, Roy Marlin cleared the air during the press conference earlier today when he clarify a statement that was made in regards to him calling persons foreigners. He said, that statement never came out of his mouth, and explained why.”I was not born on St.Maarten”. “I came here in 1982, and I had a difficult time trying to gain acceptance within this community that while I was born in Aruba, St.Maarten was my home”.
“I would be the last person to throw in somebody face that they are not from here” He continued; “I will not look at Mr. Roos as a Suriname, because my Mother –in- Law is from Suriname”.”So that statement that was said by Mr.Roos, because I know he said it, he may not be man enough to come out and make his statement publicly, and hide behind unconfirmed sources”.”That is not in Roy Marlin” he concluded.
