BILL GAYTTEN has unveiled his final pre-spring/summer 2013 collection for Dior, following the designer's departure from the label on June 5. He remains acreative director of John Galliano. Raf Simons will make his debut for the French fashion brand during Couture Fashion Week in July, following his appointment as its creative director back in April.

Gaytten's final collection for the house is a reflection on what what he has contributed to the label over the past two seasons ever since John Galliano was dismissed in February 2011. Gaytten's refined, feminine elegance manifested itself in pleated chiffon gowns (that called to mind Dior's autumn/winter 2012-13 show), full skirts worn with cinched-in jackets and a shimmering floor-length dress destined for red-carpet fame.

Gaytten was Galliano's right-hand man for 17 years before he was made the temporary head of Dior, taking the label in a much more wearable, ladylike aesthetic to that of Galliano's fantastical drama. We can't wait to see what Simons has in store.
