GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (Friday, January 27, 2012)-MP Roy Marlin of the DP faction also express his concern in regards to the water losses of GEBE and wanted to know if plans were in place for increasing the water storage capacity. What Marlin also brought up the issue of renewable energy and mentioned the wind turbines in Aruba and Curacao. He said that as parliament they can get together and invite an individual to explain exactly what they are doing in Aruba and Curacao. |

GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (Friday, January 27, 2012)-Independent Member of Parliament , Patrick Ilidge was very vocal during Wednesday’s Plenary session when he questioned how many people would be able to fight GEBE in a court case regarding products that spoil or got damaged because of GEBE and their sudden outages which he said was an injustice.

GREAT BAY, St. Maarten (Friday, January 27, 2012) – During the Plenary public session of Parliament with reference to the utility company GEBE took place on Wednesday, January 25, Leader of the National Alliance and Member of Parliament, William Marlin mentioned that the cost of electricity is a daily discussion anywhere where people assemble. “For the benefit of the people of St.Maarten, we would want government to explain the buildup of the electricity price Marlin stated.”

When earlier this week Louie Laveist, the “Honorable” Member of Parliament, talked about “Betrayal of the people of St. Maarten” by Deputy Prime Minister Heyliger, I became very nauseous. Now I know Minister Heyliger is perfectly capable of defending himself, so this is not about that! Neither is it about the fact that I agree that MP James and others who get paid to be fulltime representatives of the people, should choose which God they serve. I want to focus on the audacity and brazenness of MP Louie Laveist.

The event is being hosted on St. Maarten by incumbent telecommunication provider, TelEm Group and attracts telecommunication providers, suppliers and CANTO board officials from throughout the region.

GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (Friday, January 27, 2012) (DCOMM) – On Thursday the German Ambassador Dr. Heinz-Peter Behr in The Hague, paid a courtesy visit to the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary at Sint Maarten House.
Ambassador Behr met with Minister Mathias Voges where they discussed the Ambassador’s planned visit to the island in February.
